In this paper, we described the construction of a Korean Emotional Speech Database which consists of a set of speech data representing different emotions. It will be used to develop an emotion recognition module based on speech signals as a part of the project “Development of a Smart Home Service Platform with Real-time Danger Prediction and Prevention for Safety Residential Environments" sponsored by MOTIE (Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy).
